Pittsboro Gymnastics opened its doors in September 2022 but the vision has existed for decades as Coach Kaitlin always knew through her years of coaching recreational and team gymnastics that she would open her own gym someday.
Involved in various gymnastics programs across the country, most recently in the Midwest, Coach Kaitlin strongly believes in consistently providing three aspects of gymnastics training: safety, quality, and affordability.
Coach Kaitlin
Owner & Head Coach
Kaitlin learned to flip right alongside learning to read. She would go on to become a Level 10 gymnast while growing up in Nebraska. Though injuries would sideline her competitively, there was no keeping her out of a gym. She would go on to assist with coaching duties and eventually become the head coach for the compulsory program at Cahoy’s Gymnastics in Omaha. She also spent time directing the Xcel Program at Metro Stars Gymnastics in Omaha and the youth gymnastics program at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Nebraska.
She has a Master’s degree in Education and spent time as an elementary school librarian before moving to North Carolina in 2021. While trying to find somewhere to enroll her daughter in gymnastics and talking to other parents while volunteering at her kids’ schools, she noticed that the Pittsboro community was in need of a program like the ones she grew up with. She decided to open Pittsboro Gymnastics as a way to combine her two favorite things: teaching and gymnastics. Kaitlin currently lives in Pittsboro with her husband Andrew and her two kids, Brady and Cleo.
